Bio-Flex N Nominated for the FAKUMA Innovation Award 2026
FKuR Kunststoff GmbH’s Bio-Flex® N series has been nominated for the FAKUMA Innovation Award 2026 in the “Compounding & Materials” category.
12.–16. Oktober 2026 | Hall B4 | Stand 4405
With the Bio-Flex® N series, FKuR offers biodegradable bioplastics designed for applications in agriculture, forestry, and horticulture. The materials have been developed for products where recovery after use is not possible or is difficult to achieve, and where biodegradation in soil is considered a suitable end-of-life scenario.
The Bio-Flex® N series therefore opens up new opportunities for plastics processors and brand owners to develop technically functional plastic products with an end-of-life concept tailored to the specific application.
With the nomination of the Bio-Flex® N series, FKuR is one of five companies shortlisted in the “Compounding & Materials” category of the FAKUMA Innovation Award, presented for the first time in 2026. The winners will be announced and honored at FAKUMA 2026 in the East Foyer on October 12 at 4:00 p.m.

Your Advantage: Think Material, Processing and End-of-Life Together
The development of a plastic product does not start at the machine. For plastics processors and brand owners, an important question arises as early as the product development stage: Which material meets the technical requirements, and what happens to the product after use?
This is where Bio-Flex® N comes in. The different material grades in the series are tailored to specific applications and processing technologies. This enables material selection to be aligned with the product requirements, processing method, and intended end-of-life scenario.
For companies developing new products or looking to switch existing products to alternative material concepts, Bio-Flex® N provides an additional option when selecting the right material.
One Material Family for Different Applications
For Films: Bio-Flex® N 21310 and N 31310
For agricultural films, mulch films, and other film applications, FKuR offers Bio-Flex® N 21310 and Bio-Flex® N 31310. Bio-Flex® N 31310 is particularly characterized by its high puncture and tear propagation resistance. Bio-Flex® N 21310 is TÜV AUSTRIA OK biodegradable SOIL certified, while Bio-Flex® N 31310 is currently undergoing certification.
For Injection Molding and Profile Extrusion: Bio-Flex® N 25370
Bio-Flex® N 25370 was developed for injection molding and profile extrusion. The grade combines high density with flexibility, making it suitable, among other applications, for tree shelters and tree protection products. Bio-Flex® N 25370 is TÜV AUSTRIA OK biodegradable SOIL certified.
For Dimensionally Stable Components: Bio-Flex® N 45261
For clips, plant pots, tying systems, and other dimensionally stable components, FKuR offers Bio-Flex® N 45261. The grade is suitable for injection molding and profile extrusion and offers high stiffness and mechanical strength. Bio-Flex® N 45261 is TÜV AUSTRIA OK biodegradable SOIL certified.
