Presentation of FKuR about Bioplastics and Circular Economy

2nd Annual World Biopolymers and Bioplastics Innovation Forum

Wednesday 28th February 2024, Amsterdam

Global Bioplastics Production to Triple in the Next Five Years

According to market data compiled by European Bioplastics, the global production of bioplastics is set to more than triple from approximately 2.4 million tons in 2021 to 7.5 million tons in 2026. This development is driven by the increasing attention being given to biodegradable, biobased polymers and plastics created from renewable sources. The main growth factor for the bioplastics and biopolymers market is the growing need to adopt environmentally-friendly measures. Additionally, various governments, particularly in Europe and North America, have implemented strict regulations to promote the use of “eco-friendly” products.

Toward a sustainable and circular economy through the next wave of bioplastics

Steven Schuitema takes the stage at the 2nd Annual World Biopolymers and Bioplastics Innovation Forum in Amsterdam on Wednesday 28th February 2024, sharing his insights on the raw materials, applications, and end-of-life possibilities in today’s circular economy. Get ready!
