Recyclate

EuCertPlast-certified PE and PP plastic recyclates from post-consumer or pre-consumer waste

Recyclates are a valuable resource and important source of raw materials. Our recycled plastics are of particularly high quality and are obtained from PCR or PIR waste. The portfolio includes EuCertPlast certified polyethylene and polypropylene grades for injection molding, blow molding as well as film extrusion. We give plastic a new life. Join us!

Plastic recycling – we close the raw material loop

Close the plastic loop with us! By using recyclates in your plastic products, you are not only contributing to a functioning circular economy, you are also reducing your dependence on fossil raw materials, saving CO2 emissions and using plastic waste for what it is: an important source of raw materials.

What is the difference between PCR and PIR recyclates?

Plastic recyclates or recycled plastics are raw materials that result from the recycling of plastic waste. In the case of our recyclates, we make a basic distinction between post-consumer and post-industrial recyclates.

The difference is the origin of the waste stream from which the granules are obtained:

  • Post-consumer recyclates are obtained from plastic waste originating from households or companies (which are end consumers). In Germany, the best-known source of post-consumer waste is the yellow bag or the yellow waste container.
  • Post-industrial streams, on the other hand, originate from production waste from industrial operations in the processing of plastics

With these homogeneous and high-quality plastic recyclates, we cover a broad spectrum.

Wide portfolio of recycled plastics: LDPE, HDPE, PP qualities in natural, transparent or colored.

Quality at virgin level is provided by the recyclates from post-consumer (PCR) or post-industrial waste (PIR) available from us. In addition to polypropylene (PP) recyclates for injection molding, we also offer recycled polyethylene, including high-density polyethylene (R-HDPE) for blow molding and extrusion, low-density polyethylene (R-LDPE) and linear low-density polyethylene (R-LLDPE) recyclate for film extrusion. All grades are EUCertPlast certified, attesting to the high quality of the recycled plastics available.

In addition to the standard portfolio of Kaskada Ltd., we can produce individual recyclate compounds with customized properties.

What is EUCertPlast?

The European Certification of Plastic Recyclers (EuCertPlast) is a Europe-wide harmonized certification system that came into force in 2012. It is based on the European standard EN 15343:2007 for “Plastics. Recycled plastics. Traceability of plastics recycling and assessment of compliance and recycled content” and was developed under the guidance of the European Plastics Recyclers Association (EuPR) and the European Association of Plastics Recycling and Recovery Organisations (EPRO).

The Eu-Cert-Plast certification focuses in particular on traceability of plastic materials throughout the recycling process and supply chain, as well as quality of the recyclate itself. The EuCertPlast certificate has established itself as proof of a high recycling standard and is therefore recognized as proof by many other organizations. The well-known environmental label “the Blue Angel” can only be achieved for products made from recycled plastics if the raw material used is EuCertPlast certified.
