KG relies on post-consumer recyclate (PCR) from FKuR for its i12 GreenLine junction box. As a result, the junction box consists of at least 90% plastic waste from end consumers. The base of the junction box is made from an LDPE recyclate, and the cover is made from a PP recyclate.

The use of recycled PCR materials demonstrably reduces the ecological footprint of Spelsberg’s junction box compared to standard materials.
